Hi there, my name is Farin! I’m the owner and operator of Brutus’ Quest, and beloved mom to the one and only Brutus the Basset. After graduating from Ridgetown College with my Veterinary Technology diploma, I headed to the University of Guelph to get my Bachelor of Science, Animal Biology major. I was a student who worked part time at the kennel while setting myself up for vet school. Somewhere along my educational journey, I realized that the kennel was my home and the pooches plus their owners were like my family.
Scrapping the vet school path, I jumped head-first into being a young female entrepreneur! Although terrifying, it was a decision that I will never regret, as I am thankful, each and every day, for the life that I have and the pooches I get to share it with. When you love what you do and the lines between “passion” and “work” begin to blur, it’s easy to look forward to having a career like this!
My name is Brody Scarlett! I’ve been working at the kennel for a while now and it can, hands down, be considered the most prestigious job around. When I first got the opportunity to join the Brutus Quest team I jumped at it, and have loved every second of it. I have some past experience in the animal world; doing my high school co-op at a veterinary clinic and spending some time at a farm. But I love how we can build awesome connections with clients and their pooches. Being able to watch the pups grow and making the best of friends is one of the biggest reasons I love my Brutus Quest family. I wouldn’t change a thing.
My name is Noria Atkinson, I have been working at the kennel for over a year, but have always had a passion for animals, especially dogs. The opportunity to work at Brutus Quest and meet all different breed of dogs as well as their owners has given me the opportunity to grow my love for animals, and form a special connection to their pups. Brutus Quest is a family filled with dogs with all different and amazing personalities, and i’m so grateful to be apart of it.
My name is Christian Caughill, I have been working at Brutus Quest for over a year now. Growing up I’ve always had dogs in my family so I know how much one can mean to somebody. I am grateful for this job as I get to meet so many beautiful pups and their joyful personalities. Brutus Quest is a family-filled kennel with an amazing environment and a perfect boss.
My name is Jenna Wideman, I started working at Brutus Quest last fall and have enjoyed every moment! Getting to spend time and develop a unique bond with the pooches is a very special thing! I love seeing all their personalities come out when they are playing with their friends. It’s definitely a unique working experience but not one I wish to trade!
